The Government of Saudi Arabia, the UN Climate Change Secretariat (UNFCCC) and the Capacity-building Initiative for Transparency - Global Support Programme (CBIT-GSP), are organizing a workshop on the Implementation of the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF). The workshop is scheduled from 21-25 April 2024 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Ibn Battuta Conference Hall) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This workshop aims to bring together transparency experts from the Middle East and North Africa region to foster regional cooperation, share best practices, and enhance the capacities of national teams in implementing the Enhanced Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement. The five-day program will provide an overview of the reporting requirements under the ETF and its modalities, procedures, and guidelines (MPGs), as well as a deep dive into the use of the electronic reporting tools for the agreed common reporting tables (CRT) and common tabular formats (CTFs). The workshop will also provide opportunities for transparency experts to engage in fruitful discussions, exchange experiences, and address common challenges and issues pertaining to the implementation of the new ETF requirements in developing countries.
تنظم المملكة العربية السعودية، وسكرتارية اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ، ومبادرة بناء القدرات من أجل الشفافية - برنامج الدعم العالمي، ورشة عمل حول تفعيل الإطار المعزز للشفافية. من المقرر عقد ورشة العمل من 21 إلى 25 أبريل 2024 بفندق كراون بلازا (قاعة مؤتمرات ابن بطوطة) في الرياض، المملكة العربية السعودية.
تهدف ورشة العمل هذه إلى الجمع بين خبراء الشفافية من منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا لتعزيز التعاون الإقليمي وتبادل أفضل الممارسات وتعزيز قدرات الفرق الوطنية في تنفيذ الإطار المعزز للشفافية بموجب اتفاقية باريس. سيقدم البرنامج الممتد لخمسة أيام نظرة عامة على متطلبات الإبلاغ بموجب الإطار المعزز للشفافية وطرائقه وإجراءاته ومبادئه التوجيهية، بالإضافة إلى التعمق في استخدام أدوات الإبلاغ الإلكتروني (CTFs) لجداول الإبلاغ المشتركة (CRT) والنماذج الجدولية المشتركة المتفق عليها. وستوفر ورشة العمل أيضاً فرصاً لخبراء الشفافية للمشاركة في مناقشات مثمرة وتبادل الخبرات ومعالجة التحديات والقضايا المشتركة المتعلقة بتنفيذ المتطلبات الجديدة لإطار الشفافية المعزز في البلدان النامية.
Le gouvernement d'Arabie saoudite, le Secrétariat des Nations Unies sur les Changements Climatiques (CCNUCC) et l'Initiative de Renforcement des Capacités pour la Transparence - Programme de Soutien Mondial (CBIT-GSP), organisent un atelier sur la mise en œuvre du Cadre de Transparence Renforcé (ETF). L'atelier est prévu du 21 au 25 avril 2024 à l'hôtel Crowne Plaza (Ibn Battuta Conference Hall) à Riyad, en Arabie saoudite.
Cet atelier vise à réunir des experts de la transparence du Moyen-Orient et de l'Afrique du Nord afin de favoriser la coopération régionale, de partager les meilleures pratiques et de renforcer les capacités des équipes nationales dans la mise en œuvre du Cadre de Transparence Renforcé dans le cadre de l'Accord de Paris. Le programme de cinq jours fournira une vue d'ensemble des exigences en matière de reporting dans le cadre de l'ETF et de ses modalités, procédures et lignes directrices (MPG), ainsi qu'une analyse approfondie de l'utilisation des outils de reporting électronique pour les tableaux de reporting communs (CRT) et les formats tabulaires communs (CTF) convenus. L'atelier permettra également aux experts en transparence d'engager des discussions fructueuses, d'échanger leurs expériences et d'aborder les défis et les problèmes communs liés à la mise en œuvre des nouvelles exigences du cadre amélioré pour la transparence dans les pays en développement.
