Second episode: IFSA and FAO deliver the webinar series on forests and climate transparency

Countries have made significant progress in developing and operationalizing their national forest monitoring systems (NFMS) to comply with the measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) framework under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). These systems provide better forest data to support decision-making and domestic policies, implementing the enhanced transparency framework (ETF) under the Paris Agreement.

Zimbabwe Long-term Low Greenhouse Gas Emission Development Strategy (2020 - 2050)

Zimbabwe’s Low Emissions Development Strategy (2020-50) presents emissions reduction options across the four Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reporting sectors namely the Energy Sector, Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU), Waste Sector and the broad Agriculture, Forestry and other Land Uses (AFOLU), covering the whole economy.

Stock Taking Tool - Analytical Tool to Support Identification of Prioritised Actions for National MRV Systems and Mitigation

The Stock Taking Tool has been developed based on ‘lessons learned’ from the Information Matters (IM) project. It is an analytical tool countries can apply for the identification of prioritised action for national MRV systems including mitigation pledge(s) in the context of nationally determined contributions (NDCs), nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) and low emission development strategies (LEDS).
