Yes, Parties should use the ETF reporting tools. The ETF reporting tools were mandated by Parties to support electronic submission of reports, including required electronic reporting of the information in CRTs/CTFs. For example the CRT tools also automate reporting of KCA and use of flexibility. The excel templates appended to decisions are for illustrative purposes, i.e., the CRT are one set for one year. The ETF tools allow entry of data for more than one year as is typical for GHG reporting in CRTs/CTF. They also automate reporting of policies and measures, among other functions.
