The main objective of this inception meeting is to introduce the CBIT-GSP project to the members of the Climate Transparency Network for the Middle East and North Africa and kick-off the Network activities through the project work plan with proposed activities for 2024.

It is expected that the participants will discuss the key findings of the initial assessment of transparency capacities and jointly agree on proposed activities in the Network for 2024 to support the network countries’ technical capacities on climate transparency and reporting in the region.

الهدف الرئيسي لهذا الاجتماع التأسيسي هو تقديم مبادرة بناء القدرات للشفافية - مشروع برنامج الدعم العالمي لأعضاء شبكة الشفافية المناخية للشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا وبدء أنشطة الشبكة من خلال خطة العمل للمشروع مع الأنشطة المقترحة لعام 2024.

من المتوقع أن يناقش المشاركون النتائج الرئيسية للتقييم الأولي للقدرات على الشفافية ويتفقون بشكل مشترك على الأنشطة المقترحة في الشبكة لعام 2024 لدعم القدرات الفنية لبلدان الشبكة فيما يتعلق بالشفافية المناخية والإبلاغ في المنطقة.

L'objectif principal de cette réunion de lancement est de présenter le projet CBIT-GSP aux membres du Réseau pour la transparence climatique au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique du Nord et de démarrer les activités du Réseau à travers le plan de travail du projet avec les activités proposées pour 2024.

Il est prévu que les participants discutent des principaux résultats de l'évaluation initiale des capacités de transparence et conviennent conjointement des activités proposées dans le réseau pour 2024 afin de soutenir les capacités techniques des pays du réseau en matière de transparence climatique et de reporting dans la région.
