The purpose of this mission co-organized by UNDP and UNEP-CCC, PATPA was to deliver a hands-on training to Africa countries on the “Reporting information on support needed and received in relation to reporting”.
This workshop aims to build the capacity of participants to implement the Enhanced Transparency Framework requirements in Francophone developing countries, focusing on monitoring and reporting on support needed and received, by providing them with a clear understanding of:
- The reporting requirements under the Paris Agreement's Enhanced Transparency Framework;
- The benefits of estimating, tracking, and reporting support needed and received;
- Potential approaches and benchmarks to facilitate estimating, monitoring and reporting on support needed and received;
- Challenges and priorities for countries in terms of transparency of support needed and received;
- Identification of additional capacity needs to strategically plan capacity building activities as part of the preparation of the biennial transparency reports.
