The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (Project Management Agency) / Department of Climate Change (Project Owner) is implementing the Project "Improving capacity for data management and reporting information in line with the requirements of the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change" (CBIT Project) funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project will be implemented from 2022 to 2026 with the goal of improving Vietnam's capacity to inventory and implement greenhouse gas emissions reductions in line with the requirements of the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement: strengthening national capacity and tools to monitor, report and track greenhouse gas emissions, greenhouse gas emission reduction actions and supporting resources.
Together with activities already implemented and supported by other partners, this project will focus on capacity building to meet the provisions of Article 13 of the Paris Agreement. In 2022, a Project Management Unit (CBIT PMU) was established to support the Department of Climate Change in implementing this project.
The consultant will work alongside international and national stakeholders to enhance institutional capacities, improve climate data systems, and promote transparency in accordance with the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF). By leveraging your expertise in GHG emissions MRV, inventory development, climate finance, governance, or gender integration, you will help build resilient, equitable, and data-driven systems to support countries’ climate goals and commitments.
