The webinar will highlight country experiences and lessons learned in strengthening governance frameworks for NDC implementation and tracking. It will focus in particular on how these frameworks are integrating sub-national governments and actors and how countries have overcome specific challenges. Representatives of Colombia and Ghana will share their perspectives on how NDC governance frameworks are being established and strengthened to take into account sub-national mitigation actions; improve coordination among national and sub-national actors; and facilitate data collection and sharing across different levels of government in the context of climate transparency. There will also be an opportunity for discussion with the country representatives. This webinar builds on a thematic workshop on governance and transparency held in Washington, DC, as part of the NDC Support Cluster, as well as a side event held at COP-24 in Katowice, Poland.
