Sierra Leone made considerable progress in institutional coordination since 2015 through
the establishment of inter-ministerial committees for environmental and climate change
coordination. The National Climate Change Standing Committee was established in 2016 to
coordinate climate change actions at the national level. Regional NDC Committees (RNCs)
were established in 2022 to strengthen sub-regional coordination.
