Thiago is the coordinator for the Lusophone Cluster since 2019 and brings over 19 years of experience on MRV systems, Transparency and GHG reporting. He is a certified GHG inventory reviewer and a former member (2014-2018) and
Chair of the Consultative Group of Experts of the UNFCCC (2018) and former Co-Chair of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (2014). Before joining Lusophone Cluster coordination, he was Senior Climate Change Specialist at the Inter-american Development Bank, he had also the experience to work as Senior Advisor of World Bank and NDC Partnership Project within the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Government of Mozambique. He also served as the National Secretary for Climate Change and Forests at the Ministry of the Environment of Brazil.
Thiago is a Post-Doctoral Researcher (PUC Minas), and holds a PHD in Sustainable Development, Master’s Degree in Geography and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
