CBIT-Forest II: A visual snapshot of progress on forest data transparency

FAO has published a new visual report capturing key results from the first year of implementation of the project “Building global capacity to increase transparency in the forest sector (CBIT-Forest)” – Phase II, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). This second phase of the CBIT-Forest project builds on the foundations laid during its first phase (2019–2022), with a focus on scaling up support and embedding forest transparency systems within national processes.

The report offers a snapshot of how FAO is supporting countries in strengthening forest monitoring systems to meet the requirements of the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) under the Paris Agreement, as defined in Article 13.
