Bangladesh has developed a comprehensive Climate Change Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) platform, hosted by the Department of Environment under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, to meet Paris Agreement transparency requirements. Built through the CBIT project with FAO support, the platform integrates GHG inventory data, adaptation and mitigation tracking, finance monitoring, and public access to resources. Clear institutional arrangements, robust QA/QC processes, and sector-level data validation ensure accuracy and credibility. By leveraging stakeholder engagement, technical expertise, and international best practices, the MRV system strengthens Bangladesh’s ability to monitor emissions, track progress on climate actions, and align with global transparency standards.
