The Republic of Azerbaijan in the face of RECC (Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus - Azerbaijan Branch) requested the CBIT-GSP support in organizing side-events on transparency within the Conference of the Parties (COP-28), which took place on November-December 2023 in Dubai, the UAE. The Government of Azerbaijan had a venue - Azerbaijan Pavilion and expected to enrich the global climate agenda with events dedicated to various topics of climate change, including the climate transparency and reporting.

The CBIT-GSP via its regional network coordinator for Central Asia and the Caucasus rendered the support in organizing two side-events, with the main objective to share the experience and lessons learned on transparency within various initiatives and projects and bring together the countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus, Eurasia and others to share and exchange on the practices and lessons learned.
