The major objectives of this project are:

(a) Assessing, identifying and finally submitting technology needs to the Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) based on national development needs and priorities.

(b) Capacity building for further work on climate change related research and systematic observation.

(c) Launching public awareness programs that target the overall population of the country from grassroots levels to policy makers.
