Webinar on Tracking the Transport Transformation: Sectoral Contribution to UNFCCC Reporting
to Europe/Berlin
Location: Online
Don't miss the chance to join the transport week!

How can the transport sector improve the monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) of its emissions and commitments to the UNFCCC? This question will guide the webinar we are hosting under the umbrella of this year’s Transport and Climate Change Week.

This session will shed light on the role of  the transport sector under the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) and specifically in the Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR). The webinar will feature case studies from Vietnam and Morocco, highlighting their innovative approaches to developing MRV systems and the tangible progress they have made in tracking transport emissions. This will be a unique opportunity for participants to engage directly with experts, share their own experiences, and ask questions about best practices and challenges in the field. The session aims to foster a collaborative dialogue on how the transport sector can strengthen its contribution to global climate goals through improved transparency and reporting.

We are excited to announce the 7th edition of Transport and Climate Change Week, which will take place virtually from 4-8 November 2024. This global event will bring together experts, policy makers, and innovators to explore sustainable solutions to transport and climate challenges. Be part of this opportunity to engage with thought leaders, participate in impactful discussions, and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable transport by joining the transport community in the development of its message for COP29.
