The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat and the Korea Adaptation Center for Climate Change of Korea Environment Institute (KEI-KACCC) invite you to an exclusive and enlightening webinar. This two-hour virtual training is part of the broader Adaptation Academy initiative supported by AGWA.

Adaptation reporting plays a pivotal role in both national and global efforts on adaptation, fostering mutual trust and confidence among parties while offering a clear understanding of climate change action. As stipulated by the Paris Agreement, the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) was established with the primary goal of enhancing the transparency and accountability of parties’ efforts on addressing climate change.

Under the ETF, each party is mandated to submit a Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) every two years, while Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) may submit the BTR at their discretion. The inaugural BTR is scheduled for submission next year. While adaptation is a key component of the BTR, the lack of previous experiences poses a unique challenge for reporting on adaptation for developing countries.

Join us for a technical webinar titled “Strategic Approaches to Adaptation Reporting under the ETF,” where we navigate strategies for approaching adaptation reporting. This session will serve as a collaborative platform to share valuable lessons learned from previous adaptation reporting experiences, encompassing insights from Adaptation Communications and providing guidance for the upcoming BTRs.
