Follow-up meeting: Mutual Learning Program for Enhanced Transparency (MLP): Reporting of mitigation actions in the energy sector under Art.13 (Azerbaijan – Georgia - Japan – Moldova - Uzbekistan)

Background:

In the first part of the MLP, participating organizations from five countries worked on the first exercise in separate two groups. At this follow-up and final meeting, participating organizations from all the five countries will gather to discuss the second exercise and possible ways forward for furthering collaboration. Prior to the meeting, they reviewed each other’s second exercise and exchanged questions and comments.

Objectives:

  • To improve the understanding of how to fill the common tabular formats for structured summaries on: description of selected indicators (CTF-1) and definitions needed to understand NDC (CTF-2)
  • To share feedback on the entire program of the MLP and discuss possible future collaboration

At the follow-up meeting, the countries are also going to exchange on lessons learned, discuss the ways of getting prepared for developing their first BTRs and how the MLP exercises helped them to start with the development process.
